Joe Richard Apodaca, age 72, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2005. A lifetime resident of Albuquerque, he worked as a cook for Court Cafe and Lindy's. He was preceded in death by his sister, Betty Padilla and brother-in-law, Scott Jackson. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Lena Apodaca; children, Jerry Kennedy, Fredrick Michael Apodaca and wife Joella, Richard Apodaca, Janet Iafonaro and husband Carl, Chris Apodaca and Rose Chavez, Shelly Herrera and husband Raul; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Viola Jackson, Lucille Flores, Grace Andre; numerous other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial services will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW. on Wednesday, January 5, 2005, with a Rosary being recited at 11:00 am, followed by a celebration of the Mass.
