Obituary for BARTMESS

Doyne E. Bartmess, known as "Bart", born April 27, 1919 in Annapolis, Illinois, a resident of Albuquerque since 1961 completed the journey on earth arriving at his final resting place in God's Kingdom on Friday, December 24, 2004. His wife, Marjorie M. Bartmess preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughters, Rebecca A. Roush, and Nancy L. Williamson and husband, John; son, D. Eugene Bartmess, Jr. and wife, Connie; sister, Mary Cox, six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. Mr. Bartmess graduated from Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois in December 1941. He served as an officer in the United States Army Signal Corps during World War II. He had a varied career as an electrical engineer and prior to his retirement owned 20th Century and Five Points Laundromats. A celebration of Doyne's life will be held at a later date.
