SOPHIA ALECK, age 89, of Santa Fe, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2004, peacefully at home surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her sons: James Maryol and wife Ann, Kirk Aleck and wife Mary Lou; daughters: Georgia Maryol, Eva Kurtz, Toni Maryol, Chrisa Cazamias and husband James; sister, Athena Patsalis; loving caregiver, Lita Baca, 12 grandchildren, nine great-grandchil-dren, nieces, nephews, and many friends. Funeral Mass will be conducted Friday, December 31, 2004, 10:00 a.m. at St. Elias Greek Orthodox Church. Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Albuquerque. Sophia was a member of St. Elias Greek Orthodox Church. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Elias Greek Orthodox Church or the American Red Cross.
