Edward Phillip Darnell, 89, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2004 in Midland, Texas. He was born in Texas but spent most of his life in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Grace Darnell; one brother, Robert Darnell and wife, Jerri of Houston, Texas; one sister, Elizabeth Ticer of Wolfe City, Texas; four children, Margaret Bowlin and husband, Jack, Barbara Roland and husband, Less, Robert Darnell and wife, Mary Jane and Gail James and husband, Jerry. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. He worked for the Santa Fe Railroad until 1950, when he went to work at Sandia Base. He retired in 1972. Private graveside services were held on Saturday, December 11, 2004, at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
