Betty Lee Bassett, 68, left this world on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 in the early morning hours. Although she had been a resident of Albuquerque for the past 19 years, she was born in Madera, California on December 4, 1935 and her heart always remained in California. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, William R. Bassett of Albuquerque; her son Jeffery Bassett and his wife Melody and their four children, Erikka, Derrick, Matthew, and Rebekah, of Colorado; her son Gregory Bassett and his children Sierra, Josh and Garrett of Arizona; her daughter Michelle McCune, and her daughter, Sara; her daughter, Julie Cordova and her children, Rachel, Amanda and Dominic, of Albuquerque; her sister, Evelyn Richardson and brother Lee Murray, both of California. She was preceded I death by her parents, and a brother and sister. Although her family is comforted that her suffering has ended, she will be deeply missed.
