Catherine Fish Williams Flynn 1913-2004 Catherine Fish Williams Flynn of Belen passed away on December 3, 2004. Catherine was born on August 5, 1913, in Cuba, NM, the second child of Wesley F. Fish, DVM, and Sarah Rhoana Hatch Fish. She began to ride horses almost as soon as she could walk and rode down the Continental Divide as a young woman. She married Dr. Ivor Williams in 1933 and they had four children. After the death of her husband in 1948 and father in 1953, she ran the Albuquerque Dog and Cat Hospital for many years. She married Richard P. Flynn in 1958. Catherine is preceded in death by her older sister, Imelda; her husbands, Dr. Ivor Williams and Richard Flynn; and her sons, S. Ivor Williams and Errin A. Williams. She is survived by her younger sister, Rhoana Crowther; daughters, Catherine Ada Johnson, DVM, and husband, Maurice Johnson Jr., DVM, and Linnette Williams; grandchildren, Shelley Cranford and husband David Strickland, Verna Ward, Del Reanne Johnson Lucas and husband Ken, Kimbra Williams, Valerie Williams, Sean Ivor Williams and Rae Sudanne Johnson; three great-granddaughters, Sarah Rhoana Jones, Presley Lane, and Chandler Rhys Lucas; one niece, seven nephews, and their families. Services will be Friday, December 10, at the Haines Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5709 Haines Ave. NE. Family visitation will begin at 10 a.m., with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Steven Anaya; Frank, Tom, Jim, Bobby, Larry, Leland and Clifford Crowther, John and Bernard Higgins, Roger Jones, Joey Lopez, Kenneth R. Lucas, Cody Newman, David Strickland, and Dr. Buel Warzeniak. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Bomar Equine Rescue, P.O. Box 1038, Belen, N.M. 87002
