Martha Madrid, 97, a resident of Albuquerque for 10 years, died Friday, December 3, 2004. She is survived by her son, Gilbert Madrid and wife, Ruth; daughter, Pauline Gerhardt and husband, Ben; grandchildren, Gayla Gurule, Mitchell Madrid, Curtis Madrid, Michael Gerhardt and wife, Carol, Annabelle Gerhardt, Kathy Barela and husband, Pat, Rita Muriel and husband, Robert, all of Albuquerque, Louie Gerhardt and wife, Melinda of Denver, CO, Bobby Gerhardt and wife, Elaine, Marlene Killinger and husband, Bryan and Eddie Gonzales and wife, Marcie; special friend Loretta Cordova, all of Albuquerque; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cordilia Geoffrion of Las Vegas, NM and Mary Trujillo of Santa Fe; and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Madrid was preceded in death by her husband, Jacobo Madrid; and daughter, Anabel Gonzalez. She was the longest living native of Trementina, NM. Mrs. Madrid and her husband owned and operated a ranch . Rosary will be recited Sunday, 5:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. NE, with Catherine Telles reciting. Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 5500 Atrisco Dr. SW, Monday, 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be Michael Gerhardt, Bobby Gerhardt, Bryan Killinger, Curtis Madrid, Gabriel Gurule and Mitchell Madrid. Honorary pallbearers will be Eddie Gonzales and Louie Gerhardt.
