Helen M. Younghein (G.G.), 92, of New Bloomfield, PA and formerly of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2004 at her residence. She was born April 1, 1912 in Folsom, New Mexico, the daughter of the late Juanita Valencia and Patricio Martinez. Helen was the widow of Armando Vasquez, Juan C. Garcia, and George H. Younghein Jr. Mrs. Younghein is survived by a sister, Maria Patricia Carnahan of Summerville, South Carolina; two daughters, Rebecca R. Gardner of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Sandra and Charles Kearns (son-in law), New Bloomfield, Pennsylvania; and a son, Patrick and Darlene (daughter-in-law) Garcia of Madera, California; seven grandchildren, Regina R. Wasson, Henry M. Gardner, Elena Sweeney, Juan Gardner, Michaela Gardner, Michelle Kearns-Young, and Melanie E. Stuber; and twelve great-grandchildren, Ashley Gardner, Riley Wasson, Jace Wasson, Jacob Gardner, Chelsea Kearns, Livia Charman, Lucia Charman, Sierra R. Sweeney, Kendrick Gardner, Isabella Viancia Gardner, Roman Gabriel Gardner, and Amalia Ysidora Gardner. Helen was a member of the St. Bernard's Catholic Church in New Bloomfield. She loved the Lord and served Him well. She lived life to the fullest, enjoying traveling, quilting, playing cards and bingo. Helen, Mother, Grandma, G.G. (great grandmother) was loved so and will be dearly missed. Services will be held Thursday, November 18, 2004. Recitation of the Rosary will be at 9:30 am in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 619 Copper Avenue, Albuquerque; Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am; Rev. Ronald Gonzalez will be Celebrant. Interment will be in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bernard's Catholic Church Building Fund, PO Box 25, New Bloomfield, PA 17068. Arrangements are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home, New Bloomfield, PA.
