Obituary for ROBERTSON

Marjorie Jane Robertson died suddenly on November 9, 2004. Born in Topeka, Kansas, January 4, 1913 the daughter of Roy Hendrickson and Pearl Salina Craig, she grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She often traveled with her aunt and uncle who fostered her love for traveling. In 1940 she married Gilbert A. Gehrke who preceded her in death. From their marriage were born two sons, Gerald and Alan. Later in life, she and Gilbert moved to Albuquerque in 1967. Following his death, Marjorie married Vernon Robertson on November 9, 1984. Much of their twenty years together were spent traveling, especially in the West which both loved so dearly. In addition, Marjorie took an active part in her final years playing cards with her lady friends and playing Bingo. Confronting life with an incredible zest and enthusiasm, she was especially proud of her grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Marjorie is survived by her husband, Vernon Robertson, a brother Roy Hendrickson of Tucson, Arizona, a son Gerald Gehrke and his wife Elizabeth of Hamilton, New Zealand, a son Alan Gehrke and his wife Marcia of Hampton, New Hampshire, and grandchildren Anna Gehrke of Newton Hall, England, Joe Gehrke of Croydon, England, Jill and Ken Dumas of Plainfield, Massachusetts and their children, Cole and Spencer, grandson Kevin of Nashua New Hampshire, and a stepson Bill Robertson of Albuquerque.
