Obituary for TEAGUE

Dr. Fred Arlo Teague, 70, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 11, 2004 in Graham, Texas. Funeral services will be on November 13, 2004 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Luther, Oklahoma. A memorial service will be held on November 20, 2004 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Graham, Texas. Dr. Teague was born August 30, 1934 to Oscar and Estella Teague in Oney, Oklahoma. After graduation from Carnegie High School, he went on to earn his doctorate in education from the University of Oklahoma. He married Louise Margaret Teague on December 22, 1961 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. After the death of his first wife, Dr. Teague married Mae Sudduth of Fort Worth on June 7, 1997. Dr. Teague had a successful teaching and administrative career at the collegiate level. However, Dr. Teague's passion was serving the Lord. As a teenager he was ordained as a minister and he pastored Monterey Baptist in Albuquerque and Glorieta Baptist Church. Dr. Teague will be remembered as a devout husband, father, grandfather and friend. He cherished his time with his grandchildren who all absolutely adored their "Grandpa." He enjoyed reading, traveling, gardening and being outdoors. Dr. Teague's legacy will live on through the countless lives he touched through his role as a teacher and a minister. Survivors include his wife, Mae of Ft. Worth; children, Dr. Brett Teague and wife, Jill of Abilene, Texas; Tammi Scoggin and husband, Guy of Amarillo; step-daughter, Kim Ladd and husband, Tim of West Palm Beach, Florida; 12 grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters.
