Obituary for GERMAN

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Friday November 12, 2004

Zachary. On November 9, 2004, God took our angel, Zachary, born July 21, 2003, to celebrate life in heaven. After fighting a courageous battle for the past 13 months that included chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant, it was time to say goodbye. Now he can experience all that his illness and short life would not allow: sand on his feet, wind in his hair, the rush of first love, and getting dirty. A special thank you to the many doctors and nurses at MCV who loved and cared for him. He is survived by his parents, Max and Stacy; his sister, Sydney; paternal grandparents, Sally German and Wilbur Birchler, and Larry German, all of Albuquerque, NM; maternal grandparents, Gary and Dianne Brewton, both of Roswell, NM; paternal great-grandparents, Mabel Walker, Gerald and Marian German; many uncles, aunts, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to Histiocytosis Association, 72 E. Holly Ave., Suite 101 Dept. H., Pitman, NJ, 08071, specify HLH Research. The family will receive friends in the Woody Funeral Home-Parham Chapel, 1771 N. Parham Rd., Richmond, VA on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held Saturday 12 noon in Three Chopt Presbyterian Church. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park.
