Obituary for GANDARA

Luis. Mr. Luis Gandara, 77, a resident of Albuquerque passed away on November 6, 2004. Mr. Gandara is survived by his loving children, Alice Cortez and husband, Anthony, Louis Gandara and wife, Georgeanna, Rose Montoya and husband, John; three sisters, Elena Diaz and husband, Gregorio, Concha Wetzel and husband, Charles, Socorro Galvan and husband, Jose; ten grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Gardara was preceded in death by his wife, Amelia Gandara, Aug. 30, 2004. Mr. Gandara was a member of the Catholic Church. Luis loved to read especially about history and enjoyed antique cars. He loved his music and his plants. We will forever be thankful for the time we shared with our dad, he will be greatly missed. A visitation for Mr. Gandara will be Tuesday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph On The Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Place NW with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. by Rose Montoya. A final visitation will be Wednesday morning from 8:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph On The Rio Grande Catholic Church with Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated 9:00 a.m. by Father Frank Prieto. Interment will follow at Fairview Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew Cortez, Gabriel Cortez, Carlos Montoya, John Montoya, Jerome Gutierrez, and Gilbert Gutierrez.
