Obituary for SIEVERT

Gail Sievert, age 86, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, October 30, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Lois; sons, Joe Sievert, Paul Sievert and wife Debra, Tom Sievert and wife Deborah, and Fred Sievert and wife Bobbie; grandsons, Eugene Sievert, Devin Sievert, Jason Sievert and wife Katie, and Duane Collette; granddaughters, Corbin Rose Sievert and Kelsey Madole Sievert; Niece, Maurine Smith and husband Fred; Nephews, Allen Sievert and wife Donna and James Sievert and wife Suzie. Gail was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico and graduated from Albuquerque High in 1936. He was a charter member of Monte Vista Christian Church which he helped build. Gail served in the Army during WWII as a Lieutenant. Upon returning to Albuquerque he and Lois opened a jewelry store, Gail's Jewelry, in the First National Bank Building downtown. He went to work for the Sandia Corporation in 1950 when it first opened. He retired in 1980 to Edgewood where they lived for several years. He loved woodworking, his roses and loved to cook. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation and a private family memorial service have taken place as per Gail's request.
