Norman A. Herbst, Sr. died Thursday, October 28 at his home. He was born July 8, 1913 in York Co., Pennsylvania. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Geraldine; his son, Norman, Jr. and wife, Mary of El Paso, Texas; daughter, Norma J. Swanson, Albuquerque; grandson, Daniel Herbst and wife, Traci, Los Lunas, New Mexico; granddaughter, Stephanie Schulte and husband, Mike, El Paso, Texas; and granddaughter, Melissa Kohrs and husband, Louis, Albuquerque; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild. Norman retired from Sandia Labs in 1978. He was a charter member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Cremation has taken place and a private graveside service will be held at a later date.
