Obituary for KIRKPATRICK

Dr. John F. Kirkpatrick, age 81, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, was called home by our Heavenly Father, Wednesday, October 27, 2004. John was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and was a resident of Albuquerque since 1950. He joined the United States Army Air Corp during World War II, and became a Ball-turret gunner on B-17 aircrafts. He became a Pro-wrestler, and later went on to being a doctor of Chiropractic, during this time he married the love of his life, Eileen Race, and they made their home in Albuquerque and established his Chiropractic practice. He was a member of Masonic Lodge Temple #6; Scottish Rite, Northeast Heights Optimist Club, and of the Eighth Air Force Historical Society. He was preceded in death by his wife Eileen in 1997. John is survived by his loving daughter, Ellen Ruiz of Alameda; his grandchildren, Chris Ruiz and John Bressette; his brother, Bruce Kirkpatrick of New Jersey; and a sister, Ruth Maher of Arkansas; nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. He will be greatly missed. Visitations will be Monday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary; where funeral services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Funeral services are entrusted to: Alameda Mortuary 9420 4th Street, NW 898-3160
