Alice Gurule Varela, born Jan 24, 1939, went home to be with the lord on Oct 25, 2004. She was a resident of Albuquerque formally of Ojo Caliente, NM. She is survived by her loving sister, Tessie Galvez and husband Donald of Ojo Caliente, NM; sons, Robert Gurule, Lawrence Gurule, and Ramon Varela; daughters, Dolores Gurule and husband Danny, Geraldine Baca and husband Johnny, all of Albuquerque. Lifelong friend, Linda Pena; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; also many nieces, nephews, and friends who love and will miss her. Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Legacy Church 7201 Central Ave NW; cremation will follow with a private interment at a later date. Honorary pallbearers are her many grandchildren.
