Rebecca Jo Waters, age 46 of Edgewood, NM passed away October 16, 2004 at her home. She was born to Earl and Dorothy (Egnew) Carter on December 11, 1957 in Hoopeston, IL. She married David Lee Waters on March 7, 1981 in Hoopeston, IL. Rebecca worked as a Registered Nurse. She attended the Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, NM. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, David Lee Waters, her daughters, Heather Clark and her husband, Jon of Missouri, and Amanda Waters of Edgewood, NM; her grandmother, Bea Egnew; her mother, Dorothy Trent of Hoopeston, IL; four brothers, Dennis Carter, Randall Carter, Ronald Carter, and Ernest Trent; a sister, Maryann Hilleary; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Carter; and her step-father Ernest Trent. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Rebecca will lie-in-state on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM from 3:00- 4:00 p.m. Services will be at the Valley View Christian Church in Edgewood, NM on Thursday, October 21, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Brandon Shaffer and Pastor Erol Stepp will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty, NM. 832-6130
