Mimi Zuckert, 89, passed away peacefully at Vermont Manor in Albuquerque on Saturday evening, October 9, 2004. She was born in Lexington, KY on May 13, 1915. Mimi was married for over 60 years to her beloved and devoted husband, Sam Zuckert, who preceded her in death in 2002. She is survived by her sons, Mark and Alvin; daughter-in-law, Louise, all of Albuquerque; grandsons, Brian Olson, of Texas, and Glenn Olson, of Colorado and their families; and many loving nieces and nephews. Mimi was involved in literacy programs, humane animal treatment and hospice work. She cared deeply about environmental issues and spiritual growth and development. She devoted her life to loving service to others. Because of her gentle wisdom and compassion, her spirit will live on in the hearts of the many people whose lives she touched. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many earthly angels who cared so lovingly for Sam and Mimi these last years.
