Mercedes "Martha" Tafoya, 91, went home to be with the Lord on October 7, 2004. She was born on January 14, 1913 in Trinidad, CO. Visitations will be held on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Refreshments will be served after the Rosary in the Celebration of Life Room also at Garcia Mortuary. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
