Obituary for SMITH

Orville Clinton, Jr. (Smitty), passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2004 at the VA Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1922, the eldest son of Orville C. Smith, Sr. and Mildred Stroup Hussey Smith, in Rockland, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ruth, infant daughter Marsha, two half-brothers, and half-sister. He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie, three daughters Linda, Babette, Barbara and their respective spouses, one son and his wife, six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren. Other survivors include two sisters, two brothers, many nieces and nephews who loved and will miss Bub and his great stories. He honorably served his country during World War 11 as a B-17 pilot and was a P.O.W. for 19 months.
