Obituary for FLANAGAN

William "Bill" Flanagan, 84, passed away on October 6, 2004 in Albuquerque. He was born on September 20, 1920 in Schenectady, NY, and graduated from the University of Florida in 1942 with a BS/BA and a commission in ROTC. Bill proudly served in the U.S. Air Force from 1942 until 1948. He was with the first 306th bomb group that flew over Germany in WWII. Upon his return to service in the U.S, he became disabled, and as a paraplegic, he attended the University of Miami Law School and graduated with an LLB and a J.D. He started his own law practice in 1953, and was an attorney until his retirement in 1982. Mr. Flanagan is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Flanagan; daughter, Sandra Schroeder, of Belleville, IL; sister, Rosemary Browne, of Austin, TX; and granddaughter, Jill Nichole Schroeder, of Los Angeles, CA. Visitation and Wake services will be held from 8:45-9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 11 at Prince of Peace, 12500 Carmel NE.
