Obituary for SCOTT

Virginia C. Scott, 94, a long time resident of Albuquerque, died at Albuquerque Regional Medical Center on Tuesday, October 5, 2004, after a brief illness. She is survived by her only son, Lynn E. Scott and wife, Joan of Albuquerque; and two grandsons, Michael Scott of Rio Rancho and Mark Scott of Merritt Island, FL. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, B.L. Scott in 1985. She was born July 10, 1910 in Palestine, IL. Virginia moved to Albuquerque with her parents in 1928 after a tornado destroyed their town of Murphysboro, IL. She married B. L. Scott in Albuquerque in 1931. He owned and operated Scotty's Garage on Central Ave. in Old Town for many years. Virginia was a retired secretary from the Fish and Wildlife office and a member of the First Methodist Church. Graveside services will be held on Friday, 2:00 p.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Rev. Donna Kay Jackson officiating. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
