Raymond F. Algott, 90, a resident of Albuquerque for 40 years, died October 2, 2004. He was born in Kansas to the late Carl & Josephine Algott on September 19, 1914. After graduating from Leonardville High School in 1928, he served in the WWII Army Signal Corp. in Europe. Raymond farmed for a few years in Kansas and was the County Treasurer in Riley County, Kansas. He owned the Credit Bureau of Manah. In 1964, he moved to Albuquerque. Here he owned and retired from Albuquerque Collections Service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Other memberships include the Albuquerque Rotary Club, Masonic Lodge, and the Shriners Lodge & Scottish Rite. He was Master of Lodge in Leonardville, Kansas. He is survived by his wife, Gladys, of 59 years; a son, Gerald of Albuquerque; a sister, Ann Sullivan of Kansas City; grandchildren, Kelley and Miranda of Albuquerque; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be no local services. Services will be held in Leonardville, Kansas. Internment will take place in Leonardville Cemetery, Leonardville, Kansas. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Shriners Lodge, Zuni location, in Albuquerque. Arrangements are under the direction of: STRONG-THORNE MORTUARY 1100 Coal Ave. SE 842-8800
