Obituary for LOVATO

Rudy A. Lovato, 48, a resident of Bernalillo, slipped away to be with the Lord Sunday, October 3, 2004, after a courageous battle against cancer. He is survived by his parents, Armelino and Vickie Lovato of Bernalillo; four brothers, David and wife, Geri and their daughter Cassy; Leroy and wife, Patricia and their daughters, Natalie and Kristen; Jake and wife, Tania and their daughters, Madalyn and husband, Mike Sandstrom who is serving in Iraq, and their daughter, Reagan Victoria; and Joylynn Lovato; and Raymond Lovato; a sister, Janet and husband, Nelson Martinez, and their daughters, Melanie, Sarah, and Angelica. He was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Lovato. Rudy was a member of the Jesus Loves Cowboys Rodeo Ministry and was loyal and compassionate to a host of friends. He always made time for family and friends and was a great inspiration to us all. He served two years with the U. S. Army and four years with the U. S. Army Reserve. His life was ministering at Bull Riding Events and Rodeos to Cowboys. Rudy was employed by the Sandoval County Road Dept., and he was an active and dedicated member of Oasis Family Church. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Dr. Natalie Marshal of the New Mexico Cancer Center for her caring dedication. The family would also like to thank the nurses of Presbyterian-Kaseman Hospice Unit. Services will be Wednesday, October 6, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Montgomery Church of Christ, 7291 Montgomery Blvd. NE. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Cemetery in Bernalillo. Pallbearers will be Mike Dent, Randy Fincher, Don Sanchez, David Lovato, Leroy Lovato, and Jake Lovato. Honorary Pallbearers are Raymond Lovato and members of the Ultimate Bull Riders Organization. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, October 5, 2004 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Following the interment, the family would like to invite everyone to a breaking of bread at Sandoval County Sheriff's Possee Rodeo Grounds.
