Victalia Zubiate Fajardo, age 87 and a resident of Belen, NM, joined her Lord and Savior on October 1, 2004. Victalia was a member of Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. Victalia loved to dance with her husband, Ramon. She truly loved her children and grandchildren and she will leave a deep void in all their lives. Victalia is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Beatriz Chavez; her loving husband of 40 years, Ramon; a son, Bobby Zubiate; one grandson, Fidel Sanchez; and one great-grandson, Diego Rangel. She is survived by her loving children, Daniel Zubiate and his wife, Rose of Sterling CO, Arthur Zubiate and his wife, Margaret of Albuquerque, NM, Rafael Zubiate and his wife, Yong of North Carolina, Ernestine Cordova of Tome, NM, Mercedes and her husband, Francisco Santa Cruz of Los Lunas, NM, Mary and her husband, Lawrence Lucero of Tome, Patsy and her husband, John Fox of Colorado Springs, CO, Joann and her husband, Ray Tafoya of Los Lentes, NM, Gloria and her husband, Mike Ott of Belen, and Rita Westbrook of Belen; 32 grandchildren; 77 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 3 at 4:30 p.m. followed by a Rosary at 5:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 4 at 1:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tome. Interment will follow at San Isidro Catholic Cemetery in Las Nutrias. Pallbearers will be Susan Grace, Geraldine Williams, Grace Foster, Christina King, Joyce Baca, Naomi Ott, Bernice Cruz, and Deseree Baldonado.
