Obituary for CADY

Richard (Dick) H. Cady, age 77, died Sunday, September 19, 2004 in Albuquerque. Born April 27, 1927 in Lansing, Michigan, he retired from the University of New Mexico as Director of Policy and Planning in 1995. He received a B.A. from Michigan State University and M.A.'s from both The University of Michigan and American University in Washington D.C. He served two tours in the U.S. Navy where he specialized in electronics. After serving his country, he became Director of Research and Development Management for the U.S. Bureau of Ships and later worked for the Department of Defense in satellite communication at Bendix Corp. in Ann Arbor. He was appointed Director of Institutional Research at Northern Illinois University where he served for five years. An active member of Aquinas Newman Center in Albuquerque, John served as lector, Financial Planning Council, and Stewardship ministries for many years. Survived by his wife, Joan Cady, sons R. Michael Cady and Dr. J. Christopher Cady, and daughters Jennifer Cady and Lelia Elisabeth Cady.
