Obituary for BRYANT

Ralph (Sonny) Bryant died in his sleep of apparent heart failure Thursday evening, September 2, 2004. He was 50 years of age. Mr. Bryant had been a resident of Rio Rancho, NM for over 30 years having come to New Mexico in 1973 after attending the University of Michigan. He was employed by the State of New Mexico Penitentiary in 1979 rising to the rank of Sergeant. Subsequently, Bryant transferred to the Department of Health where he was employed at the Sequoia Adolescent Treatment Center as a psychiatric technician since 1994. Bryant was active in the Rio Rancho Sons of the American Legion Post 118. He enjoyed bowling, golf, and music. Services will be held at the American Legion Post 118 located at 1500 Barbara Loop, Rio Rancho on Sunday, September 26, 2004 from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. The family has asked that contributions to the American Legion Children & Youth Fund be made in lieu of flowers.
