Rene Rose. Our Lord Jesus came and softly carried our beloved Rene Rose Kennedy through the golden gates into the wonderful land beyond with Him and all our loved ones there on Saturday, September 11, 2004. Lorene Rose "Rene" Kennedy was born on January 20, 1923 in Oklahoma. She was a teacher, accountant and junior engineer and was a missionary in Nigeria several years ago. Mrs. Kennedy served as pastor's wife at Stanley Union Church in Stanley, NM for 10 years as well as at several other churches in Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Colquitt A. Kennedy of Albuquerque; daughter, Marilyn K. Levine of Albuquerque; sons, Dr. Criswell A. Kennedy and wife, Shirley of Spokane, WA and John D. Kennedy and wife, Kay of Albuquerque; 6 grandchildren, one of whom preceded her in death; sisters, Dorothy L. Rimes of Savannah, GA and Lola Mae Jackson of Drumright, OK. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 16, 2004 at Stanley Union Church in Stanley, NM with burial to follow at Stanley Cemetery.
