Ida Otero, 82, went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2004. She was born on May 19, 1922 in Bosque and was a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Lorenzo Otero; her sons, Raymond and wife, Monica; Charles and wife, Debbie, Lawrence and wife, Gloria; and Lee Otero; daughters, Phyllis Armijo and Lucille Montano, Peggy and her husband, Gavino Lopez, and Ann and her husband, John Hager; brother, Avedon Montano and wife, Ramona; brother, Carpio Montano; 26 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren. Ida was preceded in death by her mother, Aurelia Montano; and daughter, Sally Otero-Griego. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at St. Anne Catholic Church in Albuquerque. The Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday morning also at St. Anne's. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alan Armijo, Gavino Lopez, Anthony Montano, Chris Otero, Joseph Otero, and Queston Otero. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Griego, Michael Lopez, Patrick Angel Martinez, Jude Otero, Lawrence M. Otero, and Lee Q. Otero. Ida will be deeply missed by her family.
