Lawrence A. Wing, age 77, of Albuquerque, NM, died August 31, 2004, at University of New Mexico Hospital. Mr. Wing was born April 9, 1927, in Ionia, MI. Mr. Wing was a veteran of WWII and the Korean War. In 1945, he was a Navy medical corpsman during WWII and then went into the Naval Reserve. In 1951, he was called for the Korean War and was the Naval Chaplain assistant and a corpsman on weekends. Mr. Wing retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1987, with the title of Manager of International Purchasing. He moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1999. Mr. Wing was a loving, devoted partner and father, with a very high moral and ethical standing. He was highly intelligent and had a dry sense of humor. He loved to travel, was an avid art collector and book enthusiast, played the piano, and was very gifted in painting, needlework, and pretty much anything he set his mind to. Mr. Wing was loyal to a fault, and without exception he could be counted on in a crisis. Mr. Wing is survived by his partner, James Kramer; and children, Michael (Zeina) Wing, Mark (Cindy) Wing, Mary Lesniak, Michele (John) Harris, Melissa Wing-Ronca (Tano), and Kathleen (David) Schell. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jeremy, Danny, Amanda, Nicole, Chris, Lisa, Katie, Dina, Derek, Ryan, and Hannah; great-grandchild, Angel; brothers, Robert Wing and The Rev. Fr. Kenneth Wing. Mr. Wing is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Haley. Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Rd. (Between 14-15 Mile Rds.) IN Clawson, MI on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Friends may visit Tuesday 3-9 p.m. Interment in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI.
