Richard "Richie" Madrid, Jr., 25, a life long resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2004. He is survived by his mother, Darlene Sanchez; and father, Richard Madrid, Sr. and his wife, Gina, all of Albuquerque; grandmother, Frances Sanchez; and grandfather, Art Sanchez and wife, Jean all of Albuquerque; girlfriend, Gina Romero of Las Vegas, NV; step-sisters, Genevieve, Margaret, and Angela Martinez, all of Albuquerque; step-brother, Andrew Martinez of Albuquerque; and several aunts and uncles; cousins; and many, many friends. Richie loved his dogs and was a devoted Raiders fan. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE. Interment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menual Blvd. NE, where he will be laid to rest with his cousin, Chris Sanchez. Pallbearers will be Richard Benavidez, Lawrence Benavidez, Andrew Benavidez, Joseph Gray, Michael Madrid, Shannon Nolan, Jesse Barron, and Andrew Martinez.
