Robert C. Newberry, 75, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2004 in Fallbrook, CA. Robert was a lifelong resident of Santa Fe, NM. He was preceded in death by his father, William Herbert Newberry; his mother, Addie Marie Halderman; and his step-father, Alva Halderman. Robert is survived by 2 sisters, Alma Lee Harris and husband, Raymond, of Lake Elsinor, CA; Georgia Jones and husband D.C., of Veguita, NM; 3 nephews; and 2 nieces. A visitation will be held in the chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th Street Albuquerque, NM. from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 1, 2004. A graveside funeral service will take place on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Barton Cemetery, Edgewood, NM. The cemetery is located by exiting I-40 east bound at the Sedillo Hill or Zuzax Exit., and going east on old highway 66 just east of state hwy 217.
