Obituary for CHRISTENSEN

Claire Elizabeth Christensen, died on August 14, 2004 at Carson-Tahoe Hospital in Carson City, NV after a brief illness. Mrs. Christensen was born in Franklin, MA on April 23, 1921, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Landry. She served in the Women's Army Auxiliary Corp during World War II. After living for a time in Hudson, NY she moved to Albuquerque, NM where she lived for 25 years. In 1976, she moved to San Diego, CA and in 1991 moved to Carson City, NV. Mrs. Christensen worked for the former Atomic Energy Commission in Albuquerque and at the Naval Hospital in San Diego. For a time, she was a volunteer at the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque. In Carson City, she was also a volunteer with the Make A Wish Foundation of Northern Nevada. She is survived by her husband, Robert Christensen of Carson City, NV; sons, Rusty of Medway, MA and John of Auburn, WA; daughters, Karen Huff of Albuquerque, NM, JoAnn Stoehr of Portland, OR and Jean Christensen of Los Angeles, CA. Mrs. Christensen is preceded in death by her daughter, Lois Martinez who died in 1977. Memorial services will be held at a later date in Albuquerque.
