Cathleen Smith Hutchison, 55, a resident of Albuquerque since 1986, died Tuesday, August 17, 2004 after a long battle with breast cancer. She is survived by her son, Erik Fichter of Virginia; parents, Don and Lola Hutchison of Detroit, MI; sister, Janet Ford and husband, Christopher of Centennial, CO; brother, Kevin Hutchison of Sault St. Marie, MI; and much loved niece, nephew, and great-niece and -nephew. Cathleen was born in Detroit, MI and received her BA from the University of Michigan and a Masters from Wayne State University in Detroit. She worked several years at Sandia National Labs and Honeywell. Cathleen was very involved in quilting. She was an active member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon and a choir member. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Saturday, August 21, 2004, 2:00 p.m., at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 9315 Candelaria Rd. NE, with Catherine Robinson officiating. Ennichement of cremated remains will take place at Allen Park Presbyterian Church in Allen Park, MI. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
