Manuel M. Lara, 89, a resident of Albuquerque since 1957, died Thursday, August 12, 2004. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sofie C. Lara; son, Steve M. Lara and wife, Louise, all of Albuquerque; brother, Phil Lara, Marcos Lara, both of San Jose, CA, and Herman Lara of Missouri; and sisters, Rosie Mesa of Santa Barbara, CA, Jennie Mejilla of Oceanside, CA, and Josie Lopez of Laramie, WY. Rosary will be recited Sunday, August 15, 2004 at 7:30 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 5310 Claremont Ave. NE. Mass will be celebrated Monday, August 16, 2004 at 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Martinez Cemetery in Edgewood.
