Obituary for TIMMONS

James Timmons, 70, a resident of Albuquerque since 1955, died on July 20, 2004. He is survived by his four children, Michael E. Timmons of Albuquerque, Jerry E. Timmons and wife, Linda of Albuquerque, J. Mark Timmons and wife, Peggy of Austin, TX and Lynda D. Heaney and husband, Henry of Lubbock, TX; father's wife, Illene Timmons of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren, Michelle, Brandon, Heather, Monica, Jason, Amy, Luanita, Christina, Steven, and Bryan; and five great-grandchildren, Megan, Aiko, Riley, Eli, and Tora; one brother, Walter Ray Timmons and wife, Gretchen of Portland, OR; sister, Betty Louise Lytle and husband, Jim of Lawrenceburg, IN; brother-in-law, Nelson Sherrill of Arlington, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara and a sister, Frances Sherrill. James was a member of the Bosque Cuadrillas Square Dance Club, The Lobo Club and was heavily involved in the 4H Club and Bernalillo County Extension Service. He also was a member of Harwood United Methodist Church; was a former member of the Operating Engineers Local Union in Albuquerque. He retired from Sparling Construction Company in Albuquerque. James spent many years farming on the Westside of Albuquerque. Service will take place on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Harwood United Methodist Church, 420 San Lorenzo NW with Pastor Chere Lyon, officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
