Obituary for LOVATO

Rubel A. Lovato, age 82, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother was called home by our Heavenly Father and Savior, on Monday, July 19, 2004, while surrounded by his loving family. Rubel was a life long resident of Cuba, NM; and was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He enjoyed working on cars in his spare time; as well as cruising the town in his truck with the love of his life, Alice. He was preceded in death by a son, Dickie Lovato. Rubel is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Alice Lovato of the family home; his children, Randy Lovato and wife Rose, John Lovato and wife Ann both of Albuquerque, Todd Lovato and wife Antonette of Rio Rancho, Marcella Pena and husband Peter of Santa Fe, and Elizabeth Pena and husband Floyd of Cuba; daughter-in-law, Marcella Lovato; twelve grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Nettie and Dora; nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Rubel will be greatly missed by his loving family. Visitations will be Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church; where a rosary will be recited tonight at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. also at the church. Interment will follow at the Cuba Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Richard Lovato, Jr., Floyd Pena, Jr., Matthew Pena, Andrew Pena, Diego Aragon, and Daniel Lovato.
