Pierre Amestoy Sr., age 73, a resident of the Albuquerque area for 55 years, died on Thursday, July 8, 2004. Pierre was born on June 9, 1931, in Bedarray, France. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Charlotte Amestoy, of the family home; two daughters, Claudette Harvey and her husband, Kevin, of Los Lunas, and Christine Otero and her husband, Mark, of Peralta; three sons, Pierre Amestoy Jr. and his wife, Leslie, of Albuquerque, Ross Amestoy and his wife, Andrea, of Albuquerque, and Ernest Amestoy and his wife, Suzanne, of Belen; one brother, Claude Amestoy, of France; one sister Aurelie Beramendi, of France; and 13 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Amestoy, 1991. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Fitzgerald & Son Funeral Directors. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 10, 2004, at 1:00 p.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 244 Luna Ave NE, Los Lunas, NM. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul NE, Albuquerque, NM. Pallbearers will be Pierre Amestoy Jr., Ross Amestoy, Ernest Amestoy, Kevin Harvey, Mark Otero, and Jason Amestoy.
