Obituary for ST. GERMAIN

Maurice D. St. Germain, Sr., born in Southbridge, Massachusetts on February 20, 1924, son of Louise Arcand and Frank St. Germain (both deceased), entered into rest on July 3, 2004. He was preceded in death by his brother, Clifford and his sister, Juliette. His brother, Edward of Danbury, CT, survives. Maurice served his country during WWII in the Second Marine Division in the South Pacific. He worked for the New York Central Railroad for 31 years before retiring. Maurice moved to New Mexico in 1973, was a consultant for the development of the Olympic Health Club in Los Lunas, NM, and managed it for its first three years. He taught racquetball for the University of New Mexico for three years, and was an avid handball player, racquetball player and bowler. Maurice was a long time and very active member of Adat Yeshua Messianic Synagogue in Albuquerque, NM. He married Virginia Jane Niles in Chadwicks, NY in 1955. Besides his wife, he is survived by his seven children, Stephen St. Germain of Merritt Island, FL, Maurice St. Germain, Jr. of Oswego, NY, Kenneth St. Germain and his wife, Charlene of Albuquerque, NM, Paul St. Germain and his wife, Talana of Albuquerque, NM, David St. Germain of Albuquerque, NM, Janice St. Germain of Albuquerque, NM, and Lori St. Germain of Farmington, NM. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren. Burial was at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe, NM. A memorial service is to be held on Sunday, July 11, 2004 at 3:00 p.m. at Adat Yeshua Messianic Synagogue, 529 Jefferson St. N.E., Albuquerque, NM (SW corner of Lomas and Jefferson N.E.).
