Obituary for PRINGLE

Mary Elizabeth (Betty) Pringle joined her husband, George, on July 3, 2004. Born in Clinton, Iowa on February 14, 1929 to Arthur and Mae Hanson, Betty married her childhood sweetheart, George Pringle, on October 19, 1949. They eventually moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1951. Betty was a Realtor in the 1970s and 1980s, and after early retirement from real estate, she was very active in the Assistance League and served as President of Blue Portal. She is preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Hanson. She is survived by her daughters, Carol Griffith and husband, Bob, Mary Beth Goforth; six grandchildren, Tiffany, Justin, Scott, Kevin, Keith and Tierney; brother Tom; and other extended family. A special thanks to all of the staff at Constance House for their loving care and for providing a comfortable, loving sanctuary for the last year of her life. A special loving thank you to Greg Clark for opening his heart to her. A warm and heartfelt thank you to Ambercare Hospice's Michael Bivens. His professional approach and loving dedication saw her through many tough times. Thank you to Ann Bryant, Sye and Margot Feldman, our extended family and faithful friends to Betty until the end. She will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved her. Services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m., at Chapel of Sunrise, 7601 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with The Reverend Laurie Wells officiating. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Assistance League of Albuquerque, 5211 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110 or the charity of your choice.
