Robert C. Brown, age 79, a resident of Albuquerque for 50 years, died on Friday, July 2, 2004. Mr. Brown was born on April 3, 1925, in Niles, NY, to Clinton Brown and Clara Belle Goouch. Survivors include one daughter, MaryHelen Kelley, of Albuquerque; three sons, LeRoy Brown, of Albuquerque, John Brown and his wife Dianna, of Los Lunas, and Stephen Brown and his wife Mary, of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Evangeline Jean, 1992, and son Robert C. Brown Jr., 1972. Mr. Brown was a member of the VFW Post 401, Moose Lodge 1517, and American Legion Post 49. He was also a member of St. Marks on the Mesa Episcopal Church. Services will be held on Friday, July 9, 2004 in Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary at 10:30 a.m., with Pastor Larry Chambers officiating. Interment will follow at 1:00 p.m. in Santa Fe National Cemetery. Pallbearers will be LeRoy Brown, John Brown, Stephen Brown, Robert Brown, Eric Brown, and Jeremy Shaw.
