Manuel Romero, 54, a resident of Bernalillo for 24 years, was received by Jesus Christ our Lord on Thursday, July 1, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Benita Romero; daughters, Vanessa Gutierrez and husband, Joseph, Michelle Castro and husband, John, and Andrea Romero; sons, Benny and Angelo Miller; mother, Vera Romero; Brothers, Ed Romero and wife, Liz, Joe Romero and wife, Emma; sisters, Barbara Abeyta and husband, Richard from St. Louis, MO, Loretta Vigil and husband Rudy; and sister-in-law, Benerita Romero. Manuel has four grandchildren, Alcario, Daniel, Marisa, and Felicia. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel, and two brothers, Cajetan and Conrad. Manuel grew up on a ranch in Antonito, CO. He moved to Albuquerque in 1963. He worked for St. Joseph Hospital for over 20 years, and Sandoval County for the past three years. Manuel is a member of Our Lady of Sorrows parish, and is devoted to our Lord Jesus Christ. Manuel loved being with his family. He camped, hunted, played softball, and spent many hours working on various projects. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, artisan, and friend. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 5, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows parish in Bernalillo, 301 Camino del Pueblo.
