Christina A. Martin Beloved Aunt, Sister, Friend Christina faced life head on, never losing hope or strength despite life's trials. Those closest to her knew that hope was bigger than herself and more than religion. Christina is survived by one brother, David Martinez,; nieces Nicole, Elysia, Rebecca and Christie; nephew Juan; and great nephew Jacob whom she helped raise during his first years. Other's surviving her include her sister-in-law Sofia Martinez; nieces, Maria and Deborah, and many other great nieces and nephews; Vickie Hanna her long time best friend, Carol Reel, and many other friends at Qwest where she retired as a dedicated and hard working Customer Service Manager. A special thanks to those who cared for Christina in her last days, including her prayer group especially Pat Sasso. Christina inspired and served her family, doing anything for everyone with dedication. She was kind and generous and lived her life with Jesus Christ that those around her might follow. She battled cancer until it became the vehicle that delivered her into the arms of her Savior, where she will suffer no more. A short viewing will be held on Tuesday July 6th from 4:30 to 5 p.m. at Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, Alb., NM. A Memorial service will be held on Wednesday July 7th at 10 a.m. at Calvary Chapel Church, 4001 Osuna Rd, NE, Alb., NM 87109.
