Gayle Boyle McWhorter, 41, of Abilene, TX, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2004, at her residence. Gayle was born on February 19, 1963 in Albuquerque to Charles Joseph and Betty Gayle (Barger) Boyle, and had graduated from Sandia High School in 1981. She married Gary McWhorter on June 29, 2002 in Abilene, where she had lived for the last six years. She enjoyed working with her arts and crafts and had been a member of Risen Savior Catholic Community here in Albuquerque. Survivors include her husband, Gary McWhorter of Abilene; her daughter, Renee Michaleen Boyle of Albuquerque; her parents, Charles "Joe" and Betty Boyle of Albuquerque; her brother, Cmdr. Patrick Kevin Boyle, USN, currently stationed in Iraq, and his wife, Cathy of San Diego, CA; a niece, Christie Michelle Boyle of San Diego, CA; her stepson, Nathaniel Wayne McWhorter of Milton, KY; her stepdaughter, Sarah Renee McWhorter of Milton, KY; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, B.J. and Joyce Johnston of Sheridan, AR; and a large extended family with numerous friends and loved ones. A Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 25, 2004 at Risen Savior, 7700 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with interment following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
