Obituary for LOCK

Published in the Albuquerque Journal on Monday June 21, 2004

Howard Bryant. Howard was born on January 27, 1909 and died on June 15, 2004. He enjoyed his last two years in Albuquerque with his family and many new and also long-time friends. He liked to say he was a "true-Southerner", having been born on the South Side of Chicago. After spending his working life in the Chicago area, he retired to Hot Springs and then Little Rock, Arkansas before moving to Albuquerque. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Helen Lock. He is survived by his daughter, Nancy J. Thompson of Brevard, North Carolina and her husband, Richard and her children, Jeffrey Paul Schreiber, Douglas Lock Schreiber, and Lisa Joy Baar; and his son, William J. Lock of Albuquerque and his wife, Judith M. Lock and their children, Jennifer Susan Lock, Elizabeth Sarah Bunzel, Robert Bryant Lock, and John Mason Lock; and five great-grandchildren. Howard knew his Savior Jesus Christ and was an active member of St. Mark's on-the-Mesa Episcopal Church in Albuquerque where a memorial service will be held Tuesday June 22, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. (431 Richmond Pl NE) to celebrate his life, Rev. Pete Falk presiding. The family would like to thank the staff at Montebello for the fine care Howard received the last four months. French Mortuary 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE 823-9400
