Sara J. "Sally" Shirley, age 89, of Delmont, PA died Wednesday, June 16, 2004. She was born October 19, 1914 in Islin, PA; daughter of the late Elwin and Florence Irwin. Sally retired in 1976 from the Kiski area school district where she worked as a maintenance worker. She was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church in Delmont, PA; was an enthusiastic square dancer who enjoyed traveling and playing cards. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Scott Shirley; and brother, Dale Irwin. Surviving are her husband, Donald O. Shirley; son, K. Wayne Shirley and his wife, Joan of Albuquerque; two daughters, Donna Earnest and her husband, Barrett of Delmont and Joy Morsaint and her husband, Dane of Carnegie, PA. Friends will be received Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. a the Wolfe-von Geis Funeral Home, Inc., 5701 Lincoln Ave. Export, PA 15632 (724) 327-1400 where services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. with the reverend J.R. Wagner officiating. Interment will follow in Grandview Cemetery, Export. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions sent to Faith United Methodist Church, 305 Freeport St., Delmont, PA 15626.
