Obituary for MARQUEZ

Mrs. Angie (Honey) Marquez, born August 2, 1935 in Pastura, NM. Beloved mother, grandmother and sister passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 13, 2004 while vacationing in Hawaii. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Rafelita Anaya; a sister, Vera Lopez and brother, Martin Anaya. She is survived by her devoted husband, Eloy Marquez; daughter, Denny Delle Donne and husband, Ron of Arizona; sons, Michael Marquez, James Marquez and wife, Lorraine. Grandchildren, Lawrence Marquez, Amanda Delle Donne, Brandon and Tyler Marquez; sisters, Edwina Lucero and husband, Al, Dolly Saavedra and husband, Alberet, Loretta Gomez and husband, Elmo, Suzie Candelaria and husband, Sam; brothers, Sal Bonney, Larry Anaya and wife, Anita, Rudolpho Anaya and wife, Patricia; brothers in law, Ray , Fino and Magoo Marquez, Bernie Marquez and wife, Corrine and numerous nephews and nieces. Angie has many hobbies and meticulously tended to her flowers in her garden and played bingo as often as she could. She created beautiful flower arrangements, which she often shared. Her passion was playing golf and she took special delight in playing the beautiful golf course in Hawaii. "Honey" as she was affectionately called by her grandchildren, was loved by her family and friends. Her grandchildren were special in her life, spending as much time with them as she could, always taking them on vacation with her. She loved to host family gatherings and special occasions at her house, greeting everyone with a smile and laughter in her voice. Everyone enjoyed being in her beautiful home and eating her wonderful meals. Honey, your family and friends will miss you so much. Your smiling and beautiful face will remain in our hearts and thoughts always. We will forever hear your loving voice and laughter in our heads. We are all blessed and our lives are richer for having you in them. Rest in the arms of our Heavenly Father. We love you. Mrs. Marquez was a member of the Catholic Church. A visitation for Mrs. Marquez will be Friday evening. June 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Joseph Drive NW with a Memorial Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A final visitation will be Saturday morning, June 19, 2004 from 10:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church with a Celebration of her life to be held at 10:30 a.m. Arrangement by: Gabaldon Mortuary 1000 Old Coors Rd.
