Eduardo. CWO 3, Eduardo Francisco Porras, US Army Ret., 55, a resident of Albuquerque for eight years, died on June 5, 2004. He is survived by his wife, Sonia R. Porras of Albuquerque; son, Sgt. Mario E. Porras and wife, Evelyn, stationed in Vilseck, Germany; daughter, Monica Porras of Albuquerque; grandson, Jacob Porras; two sisters, Carola Myers and husband, James of Brownsville, TX and Anna DeRosa of Baton Rouge, LA; mother, Gloria Urioste de Porras of Guatemala. Eduardo worked as a Team Leader and Counselor at the Colorado Springs Vet Center in Colorado Springs, CO. He retired after 21 1/2 years of service as a Chief Warrant Officer 3 with the US Army. Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary - Westside Chapel with the Legion of Mary, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church, 5901 St. Josephs Dr. NW with Father Frank Prieto, officiating. Burial will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Mike Turley, Ray Atencio, Mario Porras, Scott Meyers, Robert Wayne Mobley, and Edwin Urioste.
