James S. Carson, born in Glendale, CA on June 6, 1940, Jim passed away on June 3, 2004. Cherished by wife, Ann; and daughter, Cindy; family in California, Arizona, Colorado, Wyoming, and friends across North and South America, Jim received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cal Poly and went to work for IBM, later receiving an MBA from Cal State Fullerton. He retired from IBM and PNM. On an archaeological expedition to Guatemala in 1977, Jim met the love of his life, Ann. They moved to Albuquerque from Fresno in 1985 and soon became active in historic preservation. Jim was a loyal member of the Fresno County Archaeological Society, the Albuquerque Archaeological Society, the Albuquerque Historical Society, and a mainstay of Huning Highlands Historic District. He and Ann were organizers and hosts of the annual "Dickens of a Dinner" home tour, and, since 1987, participants in the Southwest Institute. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jim's memory to the Albuquerque Museum Photo Archive, 2000 Mountain Rd. NW, 87104.
