Obituary for FASENMYER

Tony C. Fasenmyer, age 52, of Albuquerque passed away June 4, 2004 at Presbyterian Hospital. Memorial Services will be 10:30 a.m., June 9, 2004 with a visitation one hour prior to services at St. Ann's Catholic Church, and burial in Resurrection Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Joy Junction Homeless Center; 4500 2nd St. S.W. Albuquerque, NM 87105; or to a charity of your choice. Tony was born on July 24, 1951, in Kansas City, MO. He graduated from St. Ann's Catholic School and from Pembroke Country Day School. He earned a B.A. from Loyola College in New Orleans in 1973, and a Master of Arts from the University of New Mexico in 1988. Tony's Christian faith was paramount in his life. For the past 15 years, he practiced family therapy in New Mexico as a licensed clinical mental health counselor and licensed marriage and family counselor. Through his private practice "Especially for Families," he performed extensive work for the Board of Education in Albuquerque, NM. He provided clinical supervision in family therapy for APS counselors and social workers, and was a member of the APS Mental Health School Initiative. Tony loved his work and thrived on helping families. He enjoyed music, especially traveling to live concerts. He adored his five peek-a-boo dogs which he treated like family. Tony was treasured for his zeal, humor and special zest for life. He will be missed deeply. Tony was preceded in death by his sister, Beth Fasenmyer; his maternal grandparents, Dolores and Ben Turpin; and by his paternal grandparents, Sada and Tony Fasenmyer.
